Waste: as little as possible

The best waste is the waste you don’t create. And whatever’s left, we sort carefully so it can be reborn.

Avoid first

We buy in bulk or unpackaged as much as possible, avoid disposable items, and opt for refillable options. Less packaging at home naturally means less in the trash.

Divorcing Amicably

PMD, paper, glass, organic waste, and general waste each have their own designated spots. During your stay, you’ll find clearly labeled bins, so sorting your trash will come naturally.

Composting What You Can

Vegetable, fruit, and garden waste goes into the compost pile and later becomes fertilizer for the garden. A small cycle, right next to the kitchen.

Sorting Guide at a Glance

Still not sure what goes where? You can find the complete sorting guide for each category (recyclables, paper & cardboard, glass) at betersorteren.be.

For home

Less Waste at Home

No rules, just what helped us—take what works for you.

  • Bring a reusable bag, water bottle, and coffee mug—it makes a surprisingly big difference.
  • Buy fresh produce by the piece instead of pre-packaged.
  • Set up a small compost area or bin; your garden and plants will benefit from it.
