About us

We, Ann & Jan, are the hosts during your stay at ScraB&Ble.

We have lived here since 2017. Shortly thereafter, our three children left the nest. This freed up rooms and allowed us to start our B&B. Together we have already lived in all provinces, but here in Weert we found peace, quiet and nature.

Where did the name ScraB&Ble come from?

Scrabble-IT is the name of Jan’s business. Scrabble has always been a word game we enjoyed playing, including the necessary emotions and discussions. But it also gives us a certain flexibility. With Scrabble, you can make almost any words you want, which immediately points to the flexibility of the thing. Avoiding the rat race, keeping ourselves busy with things that really matter (allez, we think so anyway). Below is an example. Scrabble-IT’s IT refers not only to “scrabble it” but also to the industry in which Jan used to work and still occasionally engages.
